Bio
Recruited from Glen Iris, Ray Horkings was a diminutive rover who joined Hawthorn as the club was beginning to assemble the pieces for its future success. Standing just 168cm, he relied on his agility and crumbing instincts to impact contests but found it difficult to secure a permanent place in the senior side. His opportunities were limited to sporadic appearances across the 1967 and 1968 seasons, where he served as a depth player for the Hawks' midfield rotation. Unable to cement a regular spot in the lineup, Horkings departed the VFL after two seasons to continue his football career in the VFA with Waverley.
