Bio
Recruited from Noble Park in Melbourne's south-east, Ray Jamieson was a tall key forward prospect who broke into the South Melbourne senior side while still a teenager. Standing 191cm, he presented an imposing target inside 50, making his VFL debut at just 17 years of age during the 1977 season. Although he showed promise by averaging a goal a game across his brief tenure, he struggled to command a permanent spot in the Swans' attacking structure. Jamieson added just one more senior appearance in 1978 before departing the Lake Oval, concluding his VFL career with five goals from five matches.
