Bio
Recruited from Brighton in the VFA, Ray Pearce arrived at St Kilda as a mature-age player during the chaotic wartime period of 1944. With the Association in recess due to the Second World War, Pearce was one of many VFA footballers who crossed over to fill lists at League level, making his debut at the Junction Oval late in the season. His tenure in the VFL was fleeting, however, as he managed just two senior appearances without impacting the scoreboard before departing the club, ultimately serving as a depth player during a transient era for the Saints.
