Bio
Recruited from North Geelong, Ray Sarcevic was a talented forward who found opportunities limited at Kardinia Park, managing just four senior appearances across two seasons in the mid-1980s. While he couldn't crack a permanent spot in the Cats' lineup, Sarcevic later cemented his status as a state league legend after moving north to join the Southport Sharks in the QAFL. Transforming into a high-flying, prolific goalkicker, he famously booted a club-record 20 goals in a single match against Kedron and represented Queensland at state level. His crowning moment came in the 1989 Grand Final, where he starred in Southport's premiership win and was awarded the Joe Grant Medal as best afield.
