Bio
Recruited from Newport after a stint in the Fitzroy Reserves, Ray Scriven was a diminutive wingman who played four seasons at Punt Road during the mid-1930s. Standing just 170cm, he relied on his running capacity to hold down a spot in a competitive Richmond lineup, featuring regularly during the club's 1937 campaign that saw them reach the finals. After struggling to cement a permanent place in the senior side, he departed the VFL at the end of 1938 to join Coburg in the VFA, later playing for Brunswick before serving his country in the Second World War.
