Stats
Bio
Recruited from VFA powerhouse Port Melbourne, Reg Egan was a diminutive rover and small forward who punched above his weight during the early 1950s. Standing just 168cm, he possessed a sharp goal sense and proved to be a dangerous option near the big sticks, finishing his career with more majors than appearances. Despite being a serviceable contributor during Footscray’s competitive build-up era, Egan’s timing proved agonisingly unfortunate; he departed the club at the conclusion of the 1953 season, missing out on the Bulldogs' historic maiden premiership by just one year.
