Stats
Bio
Born in Kew, Reg Mulavin was a teenage recruit thrust into the senior side during Hawthorn's struggles in the Great Depression era. Making his debut at just 17 years of age in Round 7, 1930, the young defender held his spot for the remainder of the season, playing 11 consecutive games in a team that finished second-last on the ladder. Despite this promising start as a regular senior player while still a teenager, his VFL career concluded abruptly at the end of that single season. Mulavin did not disappear from the game, however, transitioning into a lifetime of service at the grassroots level; he became a foundational figure and dedicated volunteer for the St Paul's McKinnon Football Club, eventually earning life membership for his decades of contribution to junior football in Melbourne's south-east.
