Bio
Recruited from Numurkah in the Murray Football League, Reg Sanders was a tall forward who managed a better than goal-per-game average during a brief and interrupted VFL career. Standing 185cm, he presented as a capable marking target in attack, debuting for North Melbourne in 1967 where he showed immediate promise by hitting the scoreboard. However, he struggled to maintain continuity in the senior lineup, missing the entire 1968 season before fighting his way back for sporadic appearances across 1969 and 1970. Despite his ability to find the goals when given the opportunity, Sanders could not secure a permanent spot at Arden Street and eventually drifted out of league football after just seven senior games.
