Bio
A local product from Moolap and former student at The Geelong College, Reg Sutterby was a talented all-round athlete who also rowed for the Barwon Rowing Club. After serving with the AIF during the First World War, he joined Geelong for the 1919 'Peace' season, featuring in nine games as the club rebuilt its list following the league's wartime hiatus. Standing 175cm, he played primarily as a utility in a side that struggled for consistency in its return to competition. Although he was granted a clearance to Melbourne early in the 1920 season, he did not manage a senior appearance for his new club, leaving his VFL career as a distinct single-season chapter in Geelong's post-war history.
