Bio
Recruited from the Port Melbourne Railway United Football Club, a strong outfit in the Victorian Junior Football Association, Reg Werner was a forward who made a brief but productive cameo for Melbourne. He earned his senior opportunity during the 1910 VFL season, joining a side that ultimately finished mid-table. Werner displayed immediate proficiency in front of the sticks, booting three goals across his two senior appearances. Despite this promising strike rate, his time at the top level was short-lived, and he did not feature for the club again after that single season.
