Bio
Recruited from the Northern Territory as a mature-age rookie in 2010, Relton Roberts arrived at Richmond with a reputation for prodigious natural talent built during his time with the NT Thunder and Wanderers. A forward with silky skills and innate goal sense, he was fast-tracked into the senior side for the season opener against Carlton, but it quickly became apparent that his fitness and conditioning were well below elite standards. Roberts struggled to adapt to the rigorous demands of the professional environment, managing just one more senior game before spending the remainder of the year in the reserves. He was delisted at the end of his solitary season, remaining a memorable cult figure in modern football folklore largely due to the distinct gap between his raw ability and athletic preparation.
