Bio
Recruited from Zillmere with pick 41 in the 2005 National Draft, Rhan Hooper established himself as a high-pressure small forward capable of fierce tackling and rapid closing speed inside 50. While he showed significant promise at the Brisbane Lions, particularly during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, his tenure was plagued by off-field inconsistency and disciplinary breaches, most notably a heavy fine and suspension in early 2009 for failing to attend training. After departing the Lions, Hooper was thrown a lifeline by Hawthorn in the 2010 Pre-season Draft, where he sought to reignite his career. However, despite flashing his trademark defensive intensity, persistent hamstring injuries limited him to just six games in brown and gold, bringing his AFL journey to a premature close at the end of the 2010 season.
