An undersized but clever key defender, he was thrown into the deep end during the Eagles' struggles in 2022, often battling larger opponents in an under-siege backline. His development was heavily impacted by profound personal tragedy early in 2023 and a series of frustrating injuries, including a serious groin issue that wiped out his entire 2024 season. Despite these significant setbacks restricting his continuity, Bazzo displayed immense resilience to remain on the list, continuing to refine his craft as he fights to establish himself as a long-term pillar in the West Coast defence.
