Bio
The son of seven-time Charles Sutton Medallist Scott West, Rhylee West arrived at the Western Bulldogs as a father-son selection with the 26th pick in the 2018 National Draft. While he initially faced a significant challenge breaking into a star-studded midfield rotation, West successfully reinvented himself as a high-pressure small forward, trading pure ball accumulation for defensive intensity and tackling presence inside 50. After spending his formative seasons on the fringe of selection, he established himself as a dangerous option near goal, averaging better than a major per game and providing a hard-edged, combative complement to the club's key forwards.
