Bio
Recruited from VFA club Camberwell, Richard Greenwood was a defender who made a brief transition to the VFL with Footscray in the late 1920s. He managed 11 senior appearances across two seasons, patrolling the back half without registering a goal. While he was unable to cement a long-term spot in the Bulldogs' lineup, Greenwood returned to Camberwell and re-established himself as a premier player in the Association. His quality was validated in 1932 when he was selected on a half-back flank to represent the VFA in a prestigious match against the VFL, confirming his status as a standout talent outside the top tier.
