Bio
Recruited from North Melbourne in the VFA, Richard "Dick" Moran was a dangerous goal-kicking rover who made an immediate impact during his brief stint at Princes Park. Standing just 171cm, he used his pace and ground-level skills to great effect, averaging well over a goal a game across his two seasons in the VFL. He quickly established himself as a regular in the Carlton lineup, playing 27 games between 1912 and 1913 and providing a reliable avenue to goal for the Blues. Despite proving he was more than capable at the highest level, Moran requested a clearance back to North Melbourne just prior to the 1914 season, returning to the Association where he had played his early football.
