Bio
Originally listed by North Melbourne, Richard Nixon struggled to break into the senior lineup at Arden Street before finding a second chance at Richmond. The younger brother of fellow footballer and future high-profile player agent Ricky Nixon, he served as a defensive utility for the Tigers during a difficult transition period for the club in the late 1980s. While he never established himself as a permanent fixture in the starting 22, Nixon provided necessary depth in the back half, often rotating through the defence before departing the senior level at the conclusion of the 1990 season.
