Bio
Recruited from Nagambie in the Goulburn Valley, Rob Taylor was a medium-sized utility who briefly featured for Footscray during the mid-1960s. Standing 178cm, he was primarily deployed in the defensive half, tasked with shutting down opposition small forwards while attempting to generate drive from the backline. Despite earning a run of senior matches upon his arrival, Taylor struggled to cement a permanent position in the Bulldogs' starting 22 and failed to register a goal during his tenure. His VFL career was short-lived, concluding after just two seasons and 13 games at the Western Oval.
