Bio
Recruited from local VFA power Geelong West, Robert Adams was a solid utility who earned his shot at the top level with the Cats at the start of the 1970 season. Standing 183cm, he possessed the size to play as a flanker at either end of the ground but was primarily utilised in defensive roles during his short stint at Kardinia Park. He broke into the senior side in Round 10 of his debut year and became a consistent selection for the remainder of that campaign, eventually tallying 20 games over two seasons. Despite holding his own alongside club legends like Doug Wade and Sam Newman, Adams' VFL career was ultimately brief, and he departed the club following the 1971 season to return to lower-level football.
