Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with a late selection in the 1999 National Draft, Robert Forster-Knight developed into a disciplined defensive utility for Essendon. He played his best football in 2002, executing tight checking roles in the backline and midfield to notch 18 appearances, but found opportunities limited the following season as he struggled to secure a permanent spot in the Bombers' engine room. After being delisted, he was handed a career lifeline by Port Adelaide via the draft, yet found it impossible to crack the Power’s formidable premiership-era lineup during his two years at Alberton. While he failed to add to his game tally in South Australia, Forster-Knight later forged a significant off-field legacy at Essendon, returning to serve as the club’s long-term National Recruiting Manager.
