Bio
Recruited from the Perth Football Club via the rookie list, Robert Haddrill developed into a courageous and uncompromising full-back for Fremantle. Renowned for his disciplined spoiling and willingness to put his body on the line, he became a key pillar of the Dockers' defence during their breakthrough 2003 season, playing an instrumental role in the club's first-ever finals appearance. Despite his status as a cult figure among supporters for his shut-down defensive capabilities, Haddrill's career was severely hampered by a succession of major injuries, including a knee reconstruction and a broken leg, which saw him miss entire seasons of football. This persistent physical toll restricted him to just 57 games over seven years, eventually leading to his departure from the AFL landscape at the end of the 2007 season.
