Robin Nahas carved out a respectable career as a livewire small forward, initially entering the AFL system as a mature-age rookie after impressing with Port Melbourne in the VFL. Selected by Richmond with pick eight in the 2009 Rookie Draft, he arrived at Punt Road following a stellar season where he claimed the Fothergill-Round Medal as the VFL's most promising young player. Standing at just 176cm, Nahas built his game around elite aerobic capacity, defensive pressure and goal sense, enjoying a breakout season in 2011 where he played every game and finished fourth in the Jack Dyer Medal.

Despite his early impact, Nahas fell out of favour at Richmond as the Tigers' list profile matured, resulting in his delisting at the conclusion of the 2013 season. He was offered a lifeline by North Melbourne as a delisted free agent, where he added valuable depth and experience to the Kangaroos' forward line. While he struggled to cement a permanent spot in North Melbourne's best 22, often oscillating between the senior side and the VFL, he remained a dangerous crumbing option capable of sparking momentum shifts until his final delisting in 2016.
