Bio
Recruited from Tyntynder in the Central Murray Football League, Robin Poole was a defender who earned his opportunity at North Melbourne in the late 1950s. He managed to secure a regular spot in the backline during his debut season, playing 12 games for a side that finished mid-table. However, his tenure at Arden Street coincided with a sharp decline in the club's on-field fortunes, as the team dropped to eleventh and then last place over the subsequent two years. Poole battled away in defence for 28 games without registering a goal before departing the VFL following the club's wooden spoon campaign in 1961.
