Bio
Arriving at Melbourne in 1985 with a formidable resume, Robin White was a mature-age recruit from South Adelaide who had already claimed a SANFL best and fairest and state honours. A hard-nosed defender known as "The Claw," he built his game on intense physical pressure and a vice-like tackling technique that made him a nightmare for opposition forwards. He slotted immediately into the Demons' lineup, bringing experienced grit to the backline, though he was unable to nail down a permanent spot over the long term. After 30 games in three seasons, White departed the top level to play for Prahran in the VFA before returning to the country leagues as a premiership-winning coach.
