Bio
Recruited from the Spotswood Under 18s, Rod Williams was a diminutive rover who briefly featured for South Melbourne during the late 1960s. Standing just 170cm, he faced the physical challenges of the era but earned his senior debut as a teenager in 1967. Unable to cement a regular spot in a midfield brigade led by the legendary Bob Skilton, Williams managed just three senior appearances and a single goal across two seasons. Following his stint at the Lake Oval, he moved to the country to continue his career with Eaglehawk in the Bendigo Football League.
