Stats
Bio
Recruited from Northcote, Ron Dunn was a diminutive footballer who played his trade as a small defender and utility during the early 1950s. Standing at just 170cm and weighing 65kg, he relied on agility and ground-level work rather than physical dominance. He made his VFL debut for Fitzroy in 1950 and managed to string together 14 senior appearances over two seasons at the Brunswick Street Oval, though he struggled to cement a permanent place in the Lions' starting lineup. In search of greater opportunity, Dunn crossed to Essendon for the 1952 season but found breaking into the Bombers' side equally difficult, adding just two final games to his career tally before departing the VFL scene.
