Bio
Recruited from the Coburg Eurekas, Ron Hibbert was a wartime arrival at Victoria Park who earned his senior opportunity midway through the 1944 season. Standing 178cm, he was generally utilised as a defender but showed some versatility by drifting forward to snag two goals during his five-game stint in the ones. While the return of senior regulars from military service limited his VFL opportunities, he established himself as a standout performer in the lower grades, winning Collingwood's Reserves Best and Fairest award in 1945. Hibbert remained a consistent figure in the seconds, playing over 50 games for the reserves between 1944 and 1946 before departing the club.
