Stats
Bio
Recruited from Subiaco in the WAFL, Ron Jacks arrived at Footscray in 1973 as a seasoned state-league player with over 100 senior games to his name. The midfielder wasted no time adjusting to the VFL standard, breaking into the Bulldogs' starting lineup for the season opener against Fitzroy and retaining his spot for 11 consecutive matches. Standing 180cm, Jacks provided a reliable option through the midfield and forward flank, managing to boot five goals during his solid run in the team. Despite this consistent start to his tenure at the Western Oval, he fell out of favour after the Round 11 clash against St Kilda and did not add to his game tally, concluding his brief VFL career as a one-season player who crossed the Nullarbor to test himself at the highest level.
