Stats
Bio
Recruited from Broken Hill South in the mining heartland of New South Wales, Ron Serich was a capable key forward who added scoring power to the Richmond attack in the early 1960s. After dominating his local league with a premiership and a leading goalkicker award, he arrived at Punt Road as a ready-made target, alternating between full-forward and half-forward to utilize his strong marking ability. While the Tigers struggled for consistency during his tenure, Serich proved he could match it at the elite level with a career-best five-goal haul against North Melbourne in 1962 and was a member of the club's Night Series Premiership side that same season. He departed the VFL after three years to take up a captain-coach position with Echuca in the Bendigo League, eventually returning to Broken Hill to see out his playing days.
