Bio
Recruited locally from West Footscray, Ross Christensen was a tall key forward who burst onto the VFL scene with immediate impact. He displayed significant potential in just his second senior game in 1982, booting a haul of five goals against Hawthorn to loom as a future spearhead for Footscray. Despite maintaining a potent strike rate in front of goal, he switched clubs midway through the 1983 season, crossing to Geelong in search of further opportunities. Christensen managed two senior appearances for the Cats but was unable to cement a permanent place in the side, eventually departing the major league to forge a decorated career in the VFA with Werribee.
