Stats
Bio
A diminutive rover who managed a brief VFL career with Fitzroy, Ross Parker broke into the senior side as a teenager in the 1968 season. Standing just 175cm, the lightweight forward played three matches and booted two goals but struggled to hold his place in the Lions' lineup. Parker subsequently moved to Western Australia, where he continued his football journey as a rover for Claremont in the WAFL during the early 1970s and later in the local Sunday leagues, earning a reputation as a determined battler. He eventually transitioned into a significant off-field role as a Western Australian-based talent scout for Carlton, where he famously identified and advocated for the recruitment of livewire small forward Jeff Garlett when other clubs had overlooked him.
