Bio
Recruited from Bairnsdale in country Victoria, Ross Warner was a towering utility who offered the Tigers versatility at both ends of the ground. Standing at a formidable 193cm, he initially made his mark as a key forward—notably booting four goals against St Kilda in 1965—before his mobility and height saw him shifted into defence to combat opposition big men. He became a fixture of the senior side during the mid-1960s, stringing together 31 consecutive appearances as the club began its climb up the ladder. However, Warner struggled to hold his spot during the pivotal 1967 season, playing his final senior game in Round 7 before winning the Reserves Best and Fairest while his teammates broke the club's premiership drought. He departed Punt Road the following year to join Waverley in the VFA, eventually retiring to focus on his nursery business.
