Stats
Bio
Recruited from local stronghold Chilwell, Roy Fleming was a diminutive rover and forward who played a stop-start career with Geelong during the club's emergence as a powerhouse in the 1920s. Standing just 168cm, Fleming relied on sharp agility and goal sense to make an impact, most notably booting four goals in a clash against Collingwood at Victoria Park. His tenure at Corio Oval was defined by unfortunate timing; after debuting in 1923, he fell out of the senior side and missed the entirety of the Cats' historic 1925 premiership campaign before earning a recall in 1926. Unable to cement a permanent spot in a star-studded lineup that included the likes of 'Carji' Greeves and Cliff Rankin, he eventually departed the club, finishing his time at the top level with a stint at Hawthorn.
