Bio
Recruited from Box Hill, Roy Hugo was a mid-sized utility who played a brief but concentrated stint of football for St Kilda during the 1932 season. Standing 179cm, he broke into the senior lineup in Round 3 and retained his spot for the majority of the first half of the year, managing two goals as the Saints struggled near the foot of the ladder. Unable to secure a long-term position at the Junction Oval after his single-season cameo, Hugo eventually transferred to the VFA, where he found greater continuity with Preston. He became a regular contributor for the Association club, playing 41 games between 1934 and 1936 to round out a respectable state-league career.
