Bio
A tall recruit from the Riverina, Roy Leaper arrived at the Junction Oval via a stint with the Lanes Motors works team. Born in Wagga Wagga, he possessed the 184cm frame of a key position player, offering St Kilda options as a defender or pinch-hitting ruckman during a lean era for the club. Despite his size and utility value, Leaper struggled to command a permanent spot in the senior side, managing just 16 appearances across three fragmented seasons. He eventually departed the VFL to continue his football journey in the Association, transferring to Brighton in 1929.
