Bio
Recruited from Springvale, Roy Selleck joined South Melbourne during a pivotal transition period for the club as they began assembling the roster that would soon become known as the "Foreign Legion." Standing 177cm, he was a mid-sized option who showed an ability to hit the scoreboard, booting two goals in his brief three-game stint at the Lakeside Oval in 1932. Despite his contributions in front of goal, Selleck struggled to secure a permanent position in a side that was rapidly upgrading its talent pool with aggressive interstate recruiting. Unable to break back into the senior lineup, he eventually departed the VFL system and extended his career in the VFA, becoming a regular contributor for Camberwell in the mid-1930s.
