Bio
Recruited as a mature-age prospect from Collingwood's own VFL program with pick 63 in the 2015 National Draft, Rupert Wills established himself as a pure inside midfielder known for his immense tackling pressure and work at the stoppages. While he possessed the physical attributes to match it with the league's best contested ball-winners, he struggled to secure a permanent position in a star-studded Magpies midfield, often finding himself on the fringe of selection. His career was defined by sporadic stints in the senior side, most notably a resurgence late in 2019 where his defensive application earned him a contract extension, but he ultimately could not maintain his spot and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
