Bio
Recruited from Glenelg with pick 47 in the 2005 National Draft, Ryan Gamble was a medium-sized forward recognised for his strong overhead marking and ability to hit the scoreboard in bursts. He showed flashes of genuine potential during his time at Geelong, most notably booting four goals against West Coast in 2008, but found it nearly impossible to cement a spot in the Cats' formidable premiership-era forward line alongside established stars like Steve Johnson and Paul Chapman. In search of greater senior opportunities, Gamble was traded to St Kilda ahead of the 2011 season. However, his stint at Moorabbin proved short-lived; he managed just 11 games in a solitary season for the Saints before being delisted, concluding his career as a talented player who often found himself on the fringe of arguably the greatest team of the modern era.
