Bio
After being overlooked in the National Draft despite winning South Australia's MVP award and All-Australian honours at the Under-18 Championships, Sam Colquhoun was handed a lifeline by Port Adelaide with pick 3 in the 2013 Pre-Season Draft. A prolific ball-magnet capable of playing off half-back or on a wing, Colquhoun made an immediate impression by playing 10 games in his debut year, utilizing his elite endurance and accumulation skills. However, his momentum was cruelly stalled by a ruptured ACL incurred during a SANFL match in early 2014, costing him a full year of development. Although he returned to add a handful of senior appearances in 2015, he struggled to secure a permanent position in the Power's best 22 and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2016 season, eventually returning to Sturt where he continued his career as a decorated SANFL midfielder.
