Bio
Sam Harris is a versatile general forward and midfielder for the Calder Cannons and Pascoe Vale. A North Melbourne father-son prospect, he is the son of former hard-nosed Kangaroos midfielder Daniel Harris. He represented Vic Metro at the 2026 National Championships and spent time training with the elite Roos program during the pre-season. Harris had a solid draft year with the Cannons in the Talent League, highlighted by a strong three-goal performance against the Geelong Falcons and a prolific 28-disposal game against the Murray Bushrangers.
Boasting a similar hard-nosed approach to his father at the contest, Harris can also rack up possessions on the outside thanks to his strong work rate. Scouts praise his ultra-clean fundamental skills, slick hands in congestion and ability to burst away from stoppages with sharp steps, though he can occasionally lack precision when kicking inside 50. Tied to North Melbourne, who are expected to match any bid for his services, Harris is broadly viewed by recruiters as a prospect likely to be taken in the second half of the national draft.
