Bio
Originally from Yallourn, Scott Lee began his elite football path on Hawthorn’s list in the early 1980s but was unable to crack the powerful Hawks lineup for a senior debut. Seeking opportunity, he moved to South Australia and established himself as a premier defender at Central District, winning two best and fairest awards and earning a second shot at the top level when the Adelaide Crows entered the AFL in 1991. As a mature-age recruit for the club's inaugural squad, Lee immediately capitalised on the opportunity, gathering 29 disposals in a memorable debut against his former side, Hawthorn. A nuggety and reliable back pocket known for his consistency and ball-winning ability in defence, he remained a fixture in the Crows' lineup during their foundation years, playing a vital role in their historic first finals campaign in 1993 before returning to the SANFL to cement his legacy as a Bulldogs great.
