Teams

Recruited from VFA club Springvale after spending time in St Kilda's developmental squads, Scott Simister was drafted by Melbourne with pick 69 in the 1992 National Draft. A solidly built full-forward capable of finding the goals from tight angles, he made his debut in Round 11, 1993 against Collingwood, slotting a goal in front of a packed MCG. Despite this promising start, he managed only three senior appearances before being delisted at the end of the year. Simister subsequently forged a remarkable career as a cross-country journeyman, first dominating the SANFL with West Adelaide as their leading goalkicker for three consecutive seasons. He later headed west to join the newly established Peel Thunder in the WAFL, where he cemented his legacy as a foundation icon, serving as captain and claiming the club's leading goalkicker award four times.
