Sean Tasker

Recruited from North Adelaide as a foundation member of the Adelaide Football Club, Sean Tasker was a versatile key position player who became a cult figure among Crows fans during the club's formative years. Known affectionately as "Thumper," he utilized his physical size and strong overhead marking ability to operate effectively at both centre half-back and centre half-forward, playing 16 games in the inaugural 1991 season. However, Tasker struggled to cement a permanent spot in the starting lineup over the subsequent years, often oscillating between the senior side and the SANFL as the Crows' list depth improved. His time at the elite level concluded with a bittersweet near-miss in 1997; although he played six games that year, he was squeezed out of the side for the finals campaign and was named as an emergency for Adelaide's maiden premiership victory before continuing his career in the local leagues.
