Teams

Born in Burnie, Tasmania, Seddon Bagley arrived at the Western Oval via a pathway through Prahran Juniors and the St Kilda Reserves. He holds a unique place in club history as a member of Footscray’s inaugural VFL squad, joining the team as they made the significant step up from the VFA in 1925. A capable forward who knew where the goals were, Bagley managed to hit the scoreboard with six majors in his five senior appearances, averaging better than a goal a game. While his time at the top level was brief, restricted to a handful of matches across the 1925 and 1926 seasons, he remains a permanent part of the foundation era of the Bulldogs' VFL journey.
