Bio
Recruited from East Fremantle, Shane Halas was a lively rover who joined Fitzroy for the 1985 season. He made an immediate impact at VFL level, booting four goals on debut against Melbourne at the Junction Oval to help the Lions secure a first-round victory. Despite maintaining a goal-per-game average across his short stint, Halas was unable to consolidate a permanent spot in the senior lineup. He left the club after just one season to return to the WAFL, where he resumed a successful tenure with the Sharks.
