Bio
Recruited from Glenelg in the SANFL, Shannon Corcoran was a resilient defensive utility who carved out a journeyman career across three states during the 1990s. Selected by Footscray with pick 49 in the 1988 National Draft, he played his best football at the Western Oval, most notably featuring in all three of the club's finals during the memorable 1992 campaign. After departing the Dogs, Corcoran showed remarkable persistence to earn lifelines at two further clubs, drafted by the Brisbane Bears in the 1995 Pre-Season Draft and later by Sydney in the 1996 National Draft. While injuries restricted his continuity at his subsequent homes, his ability to earn a spot on three separate senior lists stands as a testament to his determination and work ethic in a competitive era.
