Bio
A key position prospect recruited from the VAFA club Syndal-Tally Ho, Simon Dennis arrived at Punt Road via the 1992 Pre-Season Draft. Standing 190cm, he was viewed as a developing tall defender and served a solid apprenticeship in the reserves before finally earning his senior opportunity late in the 1993 season. Dennis debuted against Carlton in Round 19 and held his spot for the following week against North Melbourne, averaging 11 disposals and showing promise with his mobility and marking ability. Unfortunately, his momentum was stalled by injury problems throughout the 1994 season, preventing him from adding to his game tally before he was delisted and subsequently moved to the SANFL to play for Norwood.
