Bio
A diminutive footballer standing just 165cm, Stan Bulpit arrived at the elite level after serving as a leading aircraftman in the RAAF during the Second World War. He made his debut for South Melbourne in 1948, where his light frame and low centre of gravity made him suited to a role as a nippy rover or forward pocket. Despite managing 12 senior games over three seasons with the Swans, he struggled to cement a permanent spot in the starting 18. He was cleared to Melbourne midway through the 1950 season in search of greater opportunity, but failed to add to his senior tally before his VFL career came to a close.
