Stats
Bio
Recruited from Valley United, Stan Haag was a tall prospect who arrived at Fitzroy during a bleak era for the club. Standing 184cm, he made his VFL debut against Melbourne at the MCG in Round 4, 1963, drifting forward to kick a goal in his first appearance despite a heavy loss. Haag retained his place in the senior side for a month of football, playing four consecutive games as a utility and forward option before losing his spot in the lineup. His brief tenure coincided with a wooden spoon season for the Lions, who managed just one win for the entire year, and Haag returned to local football following his solitary season at Brunswick Street.
