Bio
Recruited from VFA club Preston, Stan Moon arrived at Victoria Park ahead of the 1947 season to bolster Collingwood's small forward stocks. A rover who could drift forward to impact the scoreboard, he made his debut in the opening round against Footscray and held his place for the first five weeks of the campaign. However, Moon struggled to cement a permanent position in the senior lineup as the year progressed, managing just two further appearances late in the season. His VFL career concluded after that single year, with the rover departing the Magpies to return to the Association having played seven games at the highest level.
